The Corporate Staff for Procurement and Financial Management consists of Region Skåne's function for procurement and the function for financial management, which also includes decision support. Our mission is to be responsible for the procurement of goods and services from Region Skåne's perspective and to drive and develop effective governance with a focus on economy and quality.

We are now looking for a driven colleague in the Controlling/Monitoring unit, which is part of the financial management function, who will take responsibility for the overall coordination of internal control. We are now looking for a business controller and central coordinator for Region Skåne's overall work with internal control. As a central coordinator, you will be responsible for developing Region Skåne's overall process for internal control by, among other things, creating simple and pedagogical templates, providing clear instructions, analyzing, following up, and developing work methodology and quality in our risk management. You will be part of Region Skåne's function against irregularities and lead a region-wide coordination network for internal control.

In the role of business controller, you will also work with overall economic monitoring and budget issues. You will present matters to politicians, educate and inform, and you will also work with other tasks that arise within our various economic processes.

For the position, it is important to ensure that we, Region Skåne, work effectively together based on the decided direction and in line with common goals. The issues you work with may change over time based on the needs of the corporation.

The place of employment for this position is either Kristianstad or Malmö, and you also have the opportunity for part-time remote work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics or another relevant field, as well as several years of experience in the area. You have experience working in publicly/politically governed operations. Additionally, you have independently and successfully led and driven various development projects. You have good knowledge of the Office suite and are an experienced user of Excel. Good language skills in Swedish are a prerequisite for the position.

As a person, you are responsible, with integrity and personal maturity. You are clear, pedagogical, and keen to provide good service. You are a good communicator, both in writing and in personal meetings, and easily create good and sustainable relationships. Your working style is proactive, and you are an analytical, driven, and improvement-oriented person. You can prioritize, are flexible, and want to take responsibility for ensuring that the Corporate Staff for Procurement and Financial Management can meet operational changes. You work together with process leaders/process teams and managers, but you also need to be comfortable working independently, taking your own initiatives, and making your own decisions within your areas of responsibility. Personal suitability is highly valued.
